For this week's Mojo Monday sketch I made 2 cards: one a thank you card for a guy and the other for a female. I like how they turned out. Love the colors and the overall look of the male thank you card.

My friend Renae and I decided to experiment by making the same card twice--one with 12x12 paper and one using paper from a 6x6 paper pad--to see if there was a difference in how the card turns out. Here are the cards I made. I think for this set of cards I liked the way the 12x12 card looks: the yellow is more vibrant in the larger size.

I used the Crate Paper Storyteller line for these cards. The only thing not from this line are the letter stickers which are from Lily Bee. I also used a sketch from Mojo Monday to help get started.

This is a card I made the other day after being inspired by last week's Mojo Monday (MOJO259) card sketch. I think I'm going to try and do these more. Sometimes I need a little help getting started with a project and a sketch is one thing that always seems to help me get creating.

When I saw this sketch I immediately thought of the sun. So I turned the sketch around and went from there. I hand cut all the shapes on this card. It was like I was in kindergarten again--just having fun, not worrying if everything was straight or perfect. And I love how the card turned out...

My husband gave me the idea of using my white Sharpie pen to make the sun's rays. (One of the benefits of having an artist for a husband is you always have someone you can ask for help on a project if you get stuck. And you know his advice is always good, even if you don't always take it.)

The majority of the supplies used for this card are from Studio Calico ("Abroad" line) and Amy Tan ("Sketchbook"). Yellow is my favorite color so this card makes me super happy. Definitely bright and sunshiny.
